‘Hideous In Their Glory’ is a song from Torture Garden’s third release, 2013’s double album ‘The Great Depression’. A rough mix of the track was broadcast on DJ Hamohash’s ‘The Basement Of Blood’ internet radio show on the 7th of June 2013.

The track displays much use of samples, which is somewhat indicative of the direction the band has taken on their new album. The track features a distorted military drum sample and various clips taken from the G20 protests in Pittsburgh, United States, in September 2009, including the police usage of tear gas, and the LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device), an alarm system which is specifically designed to do harmful damage to anyone in the vicinity.

Hideous in their glory
Kings intoxicate starvelings with fumes
The rich moisten their lips
How much they feast on our flesh

It is enough to decay
In servitude to sickness
Without grasping each fetter
And betraying our kindred

Groans piteous and feeble
Rip into companions
All wretched of the earth
Drown unconscious and dormant

With majestic gait
Resplendent in finery
Conquerors wade through gore
Towards eschatology
